Datamolino's Xero HQ integration in 2017
The October 2017 announcement described sending document-status notifications to a practice's Xero HQ activity feed. Staff could see when client documents were ready for processing or when an export to Xero was overdue. A practice administrator set up the connection.

Document status in the practice feed
The launch article, published on 4 October 2017, addressed a practical issue for firms working across several clients: knowing which paperwork needed attention without opening each client's document folder.
Datamolino sent relevant notifications to the Xero HQ activity feed. The two examples in the announcement were documents ready to be processed and documents waiting too long for export to Xero.
How the launch connection worked
The original setup began in Datamolino's Account Settings. A user selected Connect to Xero HQ, signed in to Xero, chose the practice and authorised access. The article specified that the Xero user needed the Practice Administrator role.
These are the connection steps documented at launch, rather than instructions for a new setup. The current Xero integration page explains how Datamolino prepares and exports documents to a Xero organisation.
